Multi-billion dollar corporations and ‘guru marketers knows the force of direct statements, and, most if not all of them use it.

Internet, televisions, sales letters etc… each and every one have command statements in their advertisements. Here are some of the command statements used in daily business advertisements: Act Now! Buy It Now! Call Now!
People are urged into action every time they see or hear a command statement.

It has the power to make a reader actually pick up the handset and order when otherwise he would have put it off if the command had not been given.

You can’t manage what the prospect does, but, by hearing or seeing a direct statement such as: ‘Order Now’ his impulse to act is heightened.. The notion of picking up the telephone to call is now fresh in his mind and because of your influence he might just act on it. Some people specifically need to be told what just they should do and astoundingly they will do it.

This is not all that difficult for you now, is it?

It has been confirmed through millions of dollars in testing sales letters and TV commercials both with and without direct copy. The differences in responses are astounding!

Your product/service may be seen as something splendid. “This is just ideal” may be the opinion of the product/service that you advertise. But unless you tell him to order now and show him a clear and easy way to do it, he may just keep right on sitting there spaced out about your product but never really making the step to order it.

If you are not an advertisement expert, spending large sums on an ad campaign could be detrimental. Avoid this by doing your research; will the benefit be greater than the costs? How will it affect your business if the campaign falls through? Satisfy these questions honestly to determine your next move.
Saving with creativity:
Being able to sell your business does not always have to be expensive. News travels fast.
Get yourself out there through: word of mouth, business cards and Non-Prime time advertisements.

Between good customer service and simple gossip, get the word out about your business. Friends, family and customers are good ways to start the trend.
Business Cards Are Effective:
Attend business functions like launches, the Annual General Meeting for your bank or even concerts; strike up a conversation, be sure to leave your card and get someone else’s in return. Check your local printer for deals on business card batches and get started.
P.S. leaving a few at the counter of a store or other public place is another method.
Non-Prime time advertisements:
Setting up ads for your business to run at off-peak hours on radio and television is another cheap method. It is just as effective. Usually for radio, peak hours are between 8am- 5pm and for television, it is between 7pm-10pm.
Find out what suits you best and work with it.
Practicing advertisement continuously will pay off. As you perfect, your methods, (combination at various points is beneficial), your business will give the rewards.
